You can customize your appointment reminders to specify when reminders should be sent and what they should say! This article outline everything you need to know about customizing your clinic's appointment reminders.
Here's how to manage custom appointment reminders:
Navigate to Clinic Settings and then to the Scheduling tab.

Scroll down to Custom Appointment reminders.
By default, your account will have the following reminder that sends 24 hours before the patient's appointment for all treatment types, includes surveys, and consists of the following message:

To create a new additional appointment reminder:
Click Add Custom Reminder

Select the Delivery Method:

If a reminder is set to either Email or Text, and a patient has opted out of either, their reminder will go to their preferred contact method.
Note!
ChiroUp limits text reminders to no more than 1 text reminder. Text reminders have a 130 character limit. A reminder set to “Both” delivery method will count as 1 text reminder.
Select when you would like the appointment reminder to deliver:

Customize your appointment reminder's message:

Type your message into the Message field. Use place holders to automatically populate the reminder with appointment-specific details like the Patient's Name and the Appointment Date/Time.
Remember to customize your appointment reminder for Spanish speaking patients by clicking the ES button in the top right of the message box. (Note: ChiroUp will not translate your reminder, so be sure to enter the Spanish-language reminder verbiage).
Restrict your reminder to specific treatment types and select when surveys will send:

Restrict to specific treatments if you would like to send treatment-type (aka appointment-type) specific reminders. For example, you may want to create a reminder specific to New Patient appointments giving unique instructions to New Patients.
Select the Send Surveys box if you want the patient's scheduled survey request to send with the appointment reminder. Note! If you have Send Surveys checked for multiple appointment reminders, the reminder will only send the survey request with the first reminder set to deliver.
Remember to click Save!

💡Pro Tip
Newly created appointment reminders will only apply to appointments booked after the reminder has been saved.
Any appointments scheduled before a new reminder is created will follow the reminder settings that were in place at the time they were booked.
