Troubleshooting tips when setting up automatic social media posting to Instagram

Are your automated posts not going through? Follow this troubleshooting guide to ensure your settings & permissions are updated so we can begin posting!

1) Make sure your Instagram is a "Professional Account" 

You can do this by navigating to your Instagram profile on your mobile device. ≡ in the top right-hand corner > Settings > Account > Switch to professional account. 

If you see "switch account type," your Instagram is already a professional account.

⚠️ Posting will NOT work if your account is a personal or creator account. 

 

2) Make sure your Instagram business account and Facebook business account are connected.  

You can do this by navigating to your FACEBOOK business page settings. Settings & Privacy > Settings > Linked Accounts. If you see your Instagram page is already populated, it is already connected. 

⚠️ You will also need to verify or review your connection. If you see a "review connection" button, click that to verify. You may be asked to verify on Facebook OR Instagram. Make sure you check both platforms.
