When you make the switch to ChiroUp EHR, you can opt to use our TriZetto Clearinghouse Integration, or to keep your current clearinghouse. This article will help to answer your questions about your clearinghouse as you progress through onboarding. 

Do I have to use TriZetto?

We would certainly recommend that you switch over to the TriZetto Integration to streamline your claim submission and processing. With the TriZetto Integration, your claims are automatically sent to the clearinghouse upon submission, and the ERA responses automatically funnel into your ChiroUp account (which means less time and effort required for you and your staff 😉). You can keep using your current clearinghouse - but please note, that since it is not integrated, you will need to manually upload and download your claim forms between ChiroUp and your clearinghouse.

What should I expect while onboarding with TriZetto?

Your dedicated TriZetto rep will walk you through the entire process! You will first receive a Welcome email and with training resources and next-steps. Typically, the onboarding process with TriZetto will include your enrollments and testing (if you decide to opt-in to the optional testing). Once your account is ready to go, your TriZetto rep will alert you that your account is in Production Mode— which means you can start submitting live claims! (Please remember to refrain from submitting any live claims until your TriZetto rep has given you the green light & until your account is in Production Mode).

What do I need to do if I am not using TriZetto?

If you are not using TriZetto, be sure to let your onboarding coach know which clearinghouse you are using. Your coach may need additional information from you to configure your claims for your clearinghouse. 

Additionally, be sure to check-in with your clearinghouse and let them know you are switching EHRs! Some clearinghouses require notification in order for claims to be accepted. 

My TriZetto rep requested a test claim file. How do I create a test claim file?

This article will walk you through how to generate a test claim. Remember to ensure that you have completed your Clinic billing profile set-up as well as completing your Payors database. 

After generating your test claim file in ChiroUp, be sure to upload it to TriZetto under the guidance of your TriZetto rep.
