When you switch to new credit card terminals (from a merchant account with USAePay to a merchant account with Dejavoo), ChiroUp will connect your new Dejavoo terminal to ChiroUp.
💡Both USAePay and Dejavoo are gateways under NCMIC. All integrated credit card processing in ChiroUp falls under NCMIC.
Then, when you receive your new terminal in the mail, all you need to do is connect it to the internet (via WiFi or ethernet) and you'll be ready to take a credit card payment on your new terminal!
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about making the switch from USAePay to Dejavoo.
🌟 How do I connect my terminals to the internet?
Dejavoo terminals are both WiFi and ethernet compatible. They will come with an ethernet cord you can use to plug directly into an ethernet port, or you can connect the terminals to WiFi.
How to connect to WiFi
If the terminal boots up to the DvPayLite screen, tap CONFIGURE.

If it boots up to the sale screen, tap the symbol in the top right corner of the screen (below the time).

Make sure the radio button in the top right corner of the screen is toggled on, then tap CONFIGURE.

Make sure the radio button below the gear icon is set to On.
Then tap on the WiFi network you wish to connect to.

Enter the WiFi password for the network, then tap CONNECT.

If it connected successfully the terminal will land on this screen and it will show as connected below the name of the network.
If it says Saved instead, you may have to tap on the network again, select Forget, and re-enter the password.
Then press the back arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Here you should see that it is connected along with the signal strength of the connection.

🌟 Here's how to run your first payment on your new terminals:
Typically, when you receive your terminal, ChiroUp will have already connected it to your account. Once you receive the terminal, proceed with connecting the terminal to the internet (see steps above). Once connected, you can proceed with taking your first payment.
On the payment screen, select Credit Card as your Payment Method.
Then, select your new merchant account for Dejavoo named “NEW - [Your Clinic Name]”
Select the terminal, then Collect payment!

🌟 What should I do after successfully running payments on my new terminal?
After you successfully run payments on your new terminal, you can “hide” the merchant account associated with your prior terminals so that you do not have to select your “NEW” merchant account each time.
1. Navigate to Clinic Settings > Credit Devices.
2. Select your prior merchant account - this is will be the not labeled NEW.
3. Click Edit Merchant Account.

4. Check the box Hide from payment screen. This will hide the merchant account associated with your old USAePay terminal from the payment screen, making it easier to process all future credit card payments through your new terminal.
Once your prior USAePay merchant account is hidden, all future credit card payments should be processed through your new terminal.

🌟 What should I do with my old terminal?
You can return your old terminal to NCMIC using the box your new terminal arrived in. A return shipping label will be included in the package. Simply place your old terminal in the box, attach the label, and send it back.
🌟 What happens to the cards we had saved on file?
Credit card information is stored per merchant account. This means that once you begin using the new terminal, you'll no longer have access to cards you previously saved on file. All cards will need to be resaved, however, with the upgraded terminal, you can save a card on file by swiping/tapping/inserting. All you need to do is click Save payment method before running the card.

🌟 Do I need to take any action to close out my old USAePay account?
Nope! NCMIC will automatically close out your prior merchant account through USAePay about 60 days after you start with Dejavoo.
