Kiosks are touch-screen computer-based terminals, such as an iPad, Microsoft Surface, or Kindle. Kiosks are used in healthcare to increase convenience and streamline processes. Kiosks increase efficiency and cost savings, improve accessibility, and save staff and patients time.
ChiroUp allows subscribers to implement kiosks in their clinics through our kiosk pairing technology. Connecting a kiosk to ChiroUp will allow you to send digital surveys such as functional disability surveys, intake surveys, and consent forms to your patients conveniently and securely within your clinic.
Connecting a kiosk is an OPTIONAL ChiroUp feature enabling patients to complete digital surveys at your clinic. While designed to enhance the survey experience, it's not essential to enjoy the full benefits of ChiroUp!

💡 Kiosk Pro Tip: Enable ‘Kiosk Mode’ on your kiosk device!
Enable Kiosk mode [Guided Access (Apple devices) or Screen Pinning (Android devices)] to lock only one app (the HealthCom Kiosk site) to the screen, thereby preventing the use of other apps or settings.
- For instructions on enabling Guided Access of an Apple device, click HERE.
- For instructions on enabling Screen Pinning on an Android device, click HERE.
Why should I use Kiosk Mode on my device for patient data uploads?
We strongly recommend using an iPad with ‘Kiosk Mode’ enabled to ensure patient data uploads are handled securely. Activating Kiosk Mode restricts the device to authorized functions only, which helps prevent photos taken for patient information—such as insurance cards or IDs—from being saved directly to the device’s photo gallery or other local storage areas. This added step ensures sensitive data remains protected within our system.
How do I enable Kiosk Mode on my device?
For iPad users, please refer to above instructions for step-by-step guide on setting up Kiosk Mode. If you use a different device, consult the device’s manual for similar security features, or consider using an iPad to achieve the best compatibility and security with our system.
