If you are using the TriZetto integration with ChiroUp, you can perform Insurance Eligibility Checks directly in your ChiroUp account. This article will walk you through how to request and view Insurance Eligibility for a patient. 

🎯 Here's how to run an Insurance Eligibility Check: 

1. Navigate to the patient's record and to the Insurance tab. 

2. Under the policy for which you'd like to run an eligibility check, click the green Verify Eligibility button. 

3. Enter Insurance Eligibility Request details:

• Billing Profile: Select the relevant billing profile
• Eligibility Start Date: Select the date from which you would like to start pulling eligibility.
• Service type: The default service type is 33 - Chiropractic. You can select a different service type if applicable. 

4. Click Send. 

5. If your request was successful, then you'll see it Processed below. 

• 💡 If your request rejected, open the request to view the rejection reason.

6. Click the line item request to view Insurance Eligibility details. 

• At the top of the screen, you'll see general details - patient information and coverage status. 
• Scroll to view benefit information returned. By default, you'll see benefits for Chiropractic.

7. Click Add to Policy to save eligible fields to the patient's insurance policy. 

8. Check which eligible fields you'd like to save to the patient's record. 

• Any fields that are already up-to-date will not be available for selection. 
• For discipline-specific benefits (like copay & coinsurance), select which discipline you'd like to save the benefit towards. 

9. Click Save fields!
